Senior Designer (Heritage Preservation)
About this role:
We are looking for a Senior Specialist Designer who has strong experience in heritage preservation projects. Our office is located conveniently in CBD area and easily accessible with any public transportation. You would be working in a multicultural office environment full of passionate designers.
Job Summary:
Your role as Senior Designer is to lead designs from inception to completion. You would have strong knowledge of art history, experience in historic building refurbishment and adaptive reuse project experience and hospitality project experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and execution of heritage preservation projects, ensuring they meet historical, aesthetic, and functional requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, owners, HBA Partners and design director to understand project goals and deliverables.
- Develop design concept & proposals and project schedules.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, historians, and conservation specialists to develop integrated design solutions that meet local preservation codes.
- Communicate effectively with clients and operators, presenting design concepts and progress updates.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Create detailed design plans, including space planning, furniture layouts, color schemes, and material selections.
- Produce SketchUp modeling, mood boards, and presentations to effectively communicate design concepts to clients.
- Work with FF&E Designers to select furniture & fixtures.

Below are the minimum qualifications that we expect from you:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Architecture, Historic Preservation, Interior Design.
- 8+ years of experience in interior design, with a focus on heritage preservation projects.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in hospitality projects.
- Strong knowledge of art history.
- Strong portfolio showcasing successful heritage preservation projects.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Software experience in Enscape and Revit will be an advantage but not a must.
- In-depth knowledge of historical architectural styles, building materials, and conservation techniques.
- Willing to relocate and work in Singapore (we do not offer relocation package).

- Ability to meet tight project deadlines
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- A portfolio showcasing a diverse range of hospitality design projects.
- Collaborative and enjoy working in team environments
- Good communication skills
