Brief description of the role:

We are looking for a Senior FF&E Designer to join our team in Manila. Our office is located at BGC, a central business district and a financial hub in the heart of Taguig City.

Less experienced candidates are welcome to also apply and you will be considered for FF&E Designer positions.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Principal and/or Senior Associate, Project Director, and a Senior Project Designer, the Senior FF&E Designer will lead the initial design conception, technical development and execution of assigned project phases and assembly and maintenance of related documents. The Senior FF&E Designer is expected to perform at a level appropriate to their training and/or experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare design presentations and communicate with clients, and ensure that format is compatible with office and client standards/requirements.
• Develop and execute the design direction for overall project and communicate to the project team.
• Coordinate with Project Director, Senior Project Designer, and other FF&E Designers on a regular basis and develop and maintain communication with all project team members regarding project status.
• Attend site meetings and assist in the process of reviewing the project along with the project manager.
• Ensure quality service delivery while monitoring status of assigned project tasks against the project schedule and participate on quality reviews of projects.

• Develop and review detailed construction documents including floor plans, elevations and sections, electrical details, schedules (finish, plumbing, door, fixture), furniture floor plans, FF&E specifications, materials and finishes to determine compliance in areas of quality, code and design.
• Develop and review furniture installation plans and shop drawings for content and accuracy and ensure that they are fully coordinated with all pertinent consultant drawings.
• Generate FF&E design based on established project criteria, program and budget.
• Develop FF&E and architectural finish specifications for documentation, review and approve FF&E purchase orders, coordinate final placement of FF&E installation with all parties involved and maintain FF&E budget for all phases of the project interiors.
• Coordinate all architectural finishes with Project Architect if applicable and review plans and details to ensure proper coordination of finishes and item numbers along with the project manager.
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of FF&E specification minimum standards, informational requirements for specification and computer specification program requirements.
• Provide direction related to furniture and equipment inventories to purchasing expeditor.
• Serve as contact for purchasing agent and FF&E vendors while working with them to select design elements that are to be specified and establish all required information for documentation.
• Review samples, strike-offs, etc. for compliance with specifications and overall design intent.

Below are the minimum qualifications that we expect from you:

• Bachelor of Science in Interior Design
• Currently based in the Philippines and has the right to work in the Philippines.
• 8 years or more of experience with a portfolio of previous project experience in luxury hospitality, high-end residential, or show flats. (Candidates with less experience will be considered for the FF&E Designer positions).
• Proficient in Photoshop, PowerPoint, InDesign, AutoCAD, SketchUp and other MS Office applications.
