Job Summary:

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Singapore who has experience in cost estimation, procurement, and financial management in interior design or furniture related industries. You will be responsible for managing costs and budgets of our projects and working closely with designers, project managers, suppliers, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities (BOQ) for furniture, fixtures, and interior design elements.
• Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project budgets without compromising quality.
• Source and procure furniture, materials, and finishes from suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
• Negotiate with suppliers, contractors, and vendors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Monitor project costs, track expenditures, and prepare regular financial reports for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with interior designers and project managers to ensure design specifications align with budgetary constraints.
• Assess and manage variations, change orders, and claims during the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress, verify quantities, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, material costs, and industry standards.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies throughout the procurement and project execution process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Interior Design, or a related field.
• Have the right to work in Singapore (Singaporean / Singapore PR)
• Fluent in English and Mandarin
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the furniture procurement or interior design industry.
• Strong knowledge of furniture, fixtures, and interior materials, including their costs and sourcing options.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with contracts, procurement processes, and project management principles.
• Professional certification (e.g., RICS, AIQS) is a plus.
